Obituary for CSM (RET) William Henry Graham

William Henry Graham (Bill), 95, of Bonita Springs, Florida, passed away on 23 May 2018 at his home in Bonita Springs, Florida, where he lived with his daughter, Janice, and son-in-law, LaMar Willis.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, 28 May and 9:30 – 10:30 AM on Tuesday, 29 May at Nelson Edelen Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff, KY.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday 29 May at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 1225 S. Wilson Rd, Radcliff, Ky 40160, with Fr. Jeffrey Hopper officiating. Burial will follow at North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff, KY. Arrangements are being made by Nelson Edelen Bennett Funeral Home.

Bill was born in Woodland, Pennsylvania on 30 May 1922. His parents were Frances Black Graham and Albert Lee Graham. He graduated from Clearfield High School, joined the National Guard and was called up for service during WWII. He married Rita May Valimont on 28 June 1947 in Frenchville, PA. He retired in Radcliff, Kentucky after a 26-year career as a U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major. Bill subsequently graduated with honors from the ITT School of Electronic Technology in Louisville and worked as an electronics technician at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. He was an Army veteran of WW II, Korea and Viet Nam. Bill was Knighted by the Republic of France and awarded the French Legion of Honor for his service in WWII. He was also awarded two Bronze Stars, three Air Medals, and multiple campaign medals for service in WWII, Korea and Viet Nam. He was one of the original members of the Knights of Columbus affiliated with St. Christopher Catholic Church, and a founding member of the church.

Bill is preceded in death by Rita Graham, his wife of 61 years, his son, Brian Kevin Graham, a brother, Lee Graham, and sisters Isabelle Graham, Helen Bloom, Hope Lumadue, and Joan Dixon.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Janice M. Graham and her husband, LaMar Willis, and grandchildren Brianna A. Farr and Joshua G. Farr.

Pallbearers will be members of the St Christopher Knights of Columbus. Bill will receive full military honors at his internment.

Memorials may be given in the name of William H. Graham to Knights of Columbus Council 12623 and mailed to St. Christopher Catholic Church, 1225 S. Wilson Rd., Radcliff, Ky 40160.
