Obituary for Lore Moody

Lore Frankle Moody died peacefully at home on September 5th in Radcliff, Kentucky at the age of 91 surrounded by her loved ones.
Lore is survived by her two children and their families and one brother and one sister. She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley in 1983, her parents and five siblings.
Son Wesley (Wes) Moody and wife Peggy live in Winchester, Kentucky and have two sons, Jacob (Pensacola, FL) and Kevin (serving in Afghanistan). Daughter Cheryl-Ann Fogle and husband Gary live in Lawton, Oklahoma and have a daughter, Shiloh (Lawton, OK) and son, Daniel (Red Oak, Tx). Daniel and his wife Sarah have three children, Austin, Wyatt, and Dakota. Her sister Helga Schaefer and brother Bernd Frankle still reside in Germany. Lore is also survived by her companion of over 30 years, Robert (Bob) Barrow of Radcliff and special friends of the family, Doloris and Steve Leeds.
Lore was born March 30, 1927 in Karlsruhe, Germany to Emma Mayer and Adolf Frankle. She married Wesley A. Moody in 1951 and moved with him to the USA. She followed her husband throughout the years experiencing new adventures as they moved with the military. They found their final home in Radcliff in the early 1960s.
Lore was a generous, kind hearted person who became quickly loved by those who came into contact with her. She was a devoted member of Vine Grove Baptist Church and became an unofficial “Oma” to many of the children there. It has been said that she never met a baby she didn’t immediately love. Perhaps her greatest accomplishment is the love she showed to her family and the pride she had in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral is scheduled for September 8th at Vine Grove Baptist Church at noon. Burial will be in North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff. Prior to that, the viewing will be the same morning at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Vine Grove from 10 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lore’s life.
