Obituary for Ruth Hunt

Ruth Hunt, 95, of Radcliff, KY passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at her residence with her daughters by her side.

Born in Tennessee, married Donald O. Hunt, from Ohio. Together they ran a grocery store in Detroit, MI for 25 years. She was a smart business woman and also dealt in real estate. She worked for Communicare both driving the van for clients and as a supervisor for them in the workshops. She helped run the greenhouse in Radcliff teaching the clients a different skill and later transferred to the Elizabethtown Workshop, where she retired.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982; her parents, Bassie and George Talbert; a brother, Paul L. Talbert; and a sister, Marie Elhers.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Brown and her husband, Ray and Linda Frost and her husband, Mitchell; one son, Don Hunt; and one grandson. Also, to keep her memory, are two others that were like sons, Jerry McGuinn and Ron Edge along with her special dog, Katie.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 2 at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Vine Grove with Pastor Naomi Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday and beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
